Frequently asked questions

Which areas does Yorkshire and The Humber cover here?

All 210 postcode districts in the Yorkshire and The Humber region, each listed above with its median price per square metre and linked to its own page of sold prices, price history and individual sales.

How is the regional median computed?

From the same HM Land Registry sold prices as the district figures: every resale in Yorkshire and The Humber in the last 12 months matched to an EPC floor area, pooled across the region, with the median taken over price divided by floor area. It is not an average of the district medians.

Why do some districts show no price per square metre?

A district median needs at least 30 matched sales in its window. Districts below that floor show their sale counts but no per-square-metre figure: a number computed from a handful of sales would be noise, not a statistic.
